WASHINGTON, DC — As President Donald Trump has repeatedly said, he loves his Southwest Airlines flight from Phoenix to Tucson, AZ.
However, that flight is now being called a total fiasco.
President Trump is reportedly furious about the flight, which was originally supposed to be his last day in office, and is reportedly planning to cancel the flight altogether.
The President’s anger stems from a decision he made on Wednesday to fly from Phoenix International Airport to Tucson International Airport, which is approximately 40 minutes away.
President Donald J. Trump made the decision to fly to Tucson and then flew to Phoenix, AZ, on Wednesday, according to The Associated Press.
According to The Washington Post, Trump made his decision after flying back to Phoenix from Phoenix and was scheduled to fly back to Washington DC on Thursday.
Trump flew to Arizona on Wednesday afternoon, leaving for Phoenix at 6:45pm.
On Thursday, Trump arrived at his Phoenix hotel at 8:45am.
After a short trip, he was scheduled for a scheduled arrival at the White House.
However a report by CNN’s Brian Stelter said the President flew back to the White Trump Tower at 9:45:45, after which he was expected to depart.
The President’s frustration comes from a number of reasons.
According to the AP, Trump reportedly felt he had been treated unfairly in Phoenix.
In addition, the President allegedly complained about his appearance in Phoenix, complaining that his face and hair were “out of proportion” to his appearance.
Trump was reportedly not allowed to wear the “Make America Great Again” hat that was a giveaway that he was returning to Washington.
Additionally, the president allegedly complained that his family was not welcome at the airport.
“I just don’t think they want to be here, that they don’t want to spend time here,” Trump reportedly told the Associated Press, according the AP.
When asked if he was angry with the President, Trump replied, “I just think I was treated badly, but I’ll see what happens.”
However, Trump has yet to respond to CNN’s reports about the trip, nor has he responded to an emailed request for comment from The Washington Examiner.
President Trump is scheduled to leave Washington DC at 10:00am, and will then be returning to his Phoenix home.
