Airlines are reporting more cancellations from the weather, especially during the spring months.
But they’re not the only ones experiencing a drop in business.
A year ago, the airline industry was doing very well.
And for the first time, it was seeing a decline in the number of domestic flights.
Airlines were still operating at a high level of activity.
But there were fewer cancellations and fewer international flights.
But that hasn’t held true.
The number of international flights has dropped from 5.4 million in 2011 to 4.3 million in 2012.
That’s the first drop in more than a decade.
And the decline is even more pronounced during the summer months.
The FAA says the drop has been about a third as large as the drop in the prior two years.
And that trend continued through the winter.
The FAA says that the weather has had a huge impact on the airline business.
And this is what they say about the weather in the report:”It is a serious and significant factor in the decline in international travel,” the report states.
“International travel is being impacted by the severe weather, and airlines are responding by cutting flights and limiting flights in the summer and winter months.”
And if you don’t want to look into the weather yourself, the report does offer some help for you.
It gives you the average length of flights that the airline has on the books, the number you should expect to see, and a few other tidbits that you can look into on your own.
