A flight attendant is on the loose after an apparent ghost flight attendant stopped a woman in the mid-air on a flight from New Delhi to Dubai, and the airline is investigating.
A Twitter account that calls itself “the flight instructor who stopped her” has been tweeting about the incident since last Wednesday, and has over 3,000 followers.
According to The New York Times, the woman was on her way home from the airport when the woman “suddenly stopped, said, ‘Let’s go home.’
She took off her shoes, then started walking back toward the gate.”
She reportedly stopped and waited for the flight attendant to take her luggage, but when the flight took off, she ran into a parking space and the flight went to an alternate route.
A tweet from the account said that the flight was “not flying.”
The airline tweeted on Friday that they are investigating the incident and that they “are not releasing the passenger’s name” in order to protect the safety of other passengers.
We have no information about the identity of the person who is reported to have been stopped by the flight instructor.
We are working with the Indian police to understand what happened.
